Have Milanese aperitivo in a park-like setting right in New York City.
Traveling in Milan, I discovered the aperitivo, which is happy hour in Italy. You pay for your drinks and are welcome to help yourself to a buffet selection of pasta salads, cold cuts, cheeses, and other finger snacks. I'd like to bring this idea to a bar in NY as well as creating a space where you can go into a bar that feels like a park, with trees, ivy, and the feeling of being outdoors. Instead of playing popular music, I will create atmosphere with smell, sound, and texture. Sounds such as wind, birds, water, people outdoors. Smells such as pine, wood, grass. I would also like to promote design by including unique pieces of italian design, such as products from Alessi and Flos lamps. My space will be a fun, casual getaway from the city, though always with the mindset of quality lifestyle, quality food and drink
