Have you ever been to a venue (Hollywood Bowl for example) and it takes like 20 minutes to find you seats... here it is! The built in ticket GPS / and “up-to-date device”...
The device you receive when you exchange you ticket at entrance is re-usable and has a few features
- Seat locator (basically a map of the venue that will navigate you through it by using a similar system as your car GPS)
- Venue features in “real time” (for example; what restrooms are busy, what bars are busy, where can I buy a beer, wine, food etc)
- Artist information (who is on stage, who is coming up, what song is playing etc)
- Artist music “purchase” option – love the song? Click “buy” and you get an option to have the song emailed to you so you have it when you get home ($99 per song or if you wanna buy the complete album $9.99)
I picture this to look similar but smaller then the plastic piece you get at a busy restaurant to know when it’s your turn to get seated, every venue needs to install a “local gps” system which is pretty cheap now days…
Future enhancements;
- video camera (display your friends or families picture on the huge screen above stage by live broadcast from your device)
- send messages in “real time” to the screens so everyone can read it (especially entertaining before the show starts)
- Chat with other people in the audience.
