When I was going through menopause, it was my vision to have an air conditioned bed. A cooling system for my side of the bed without using the central A/C. I thought a smaller A/C unit placed under the bed, a cooling sheet over me like a heating pad only cool would suffice. Or possibly something placed between the mattress and bed springs.
I'm not sure how it would work except I know a lot of people could use it, not just menopausal women. There are cooling gels on the market but not on the scale it would take, plus they are heavy and cumbersome. I know the technology exists and is being used in some other capacity and is waiting for this use. We don't have to re-invent the wheel here. Gosh, they have cooling in refrigerators, cars, A/C etc. Surely some system can be adapted on a smaller scale for under a bed.
I believe there would be multiple uses. Imagine a cooling panel with coils that could be plugged in like a heating blanket only for cooling people off with a temp control. Or a sheet with reflective lining that you could fill with dry ice that would stay cool? I know cooling off is an idea whose time has come. Probably would be more environmentally friendly too without having to use air conditioning during the night. Maybe the soldiers in Iraq would like to be Kooled Off in the desert heat?
I am an idea person who sees what can be. The road from an idea to reality is a bit different. It takes effort and teaming with the right people who know how to make things happen. Currently that is why I am bringing this idea to the marketplace. I am stuck on what to do next. I am hoping there is a visionary out there who sees the value of helping millions of "hot" middle age menopausal boomers wanting to Kool Off.
