Maybe this already exists, and my techno-challenged self is not aware of it, but I would love a way to, when I check my voicemail, have an otion to hear them in REVERSE order.
For example, if I know I've got 3 messages I haven't checked yet (and one is from my friend who leaves 5 minute messages), and then I see I missed a call from my boss, I just want to listen to that one message. But if I skip through the other 3 they get dumped in with all my other old messages and I want them to basically stay "New" until i'm ready to deal with them.
When the messages get dumped, they are even harder to retrieve because then cell-phone users are forced to re-play all the dumped messages. I am guessing that these issues don't exist with iPhone and the more advanced PDAs where we will be able to select which message we want to hear first, whether (from boss-lady or not).
The whole voicemail systems needs a major re-vamp. For example, what if simply each voicemail were stored to a different key (1,2,3...) and you could on a very basic phone select which message by selecting a number, once your indicator tells you how many messages and which numbers were assigned to which keys.
