This idea is totally credited to Edgardo, a contractor I know and with whom I was discussing politics last week.  He said he doesn't really know who he should vote for, (McCain or Obama), he does however know that all one of them needs to do to win his vote is to pledge to find out who is responsible for the financial mess we are in and to hold them accountable by prosecuting them to the ends of the law.

I did not bother to explain that the financial mess is a confluence of irresponsibility with cross accountabilities and many culrprits.  I did not bother because his request was in essence so simple - you know who you are and you should no longer be able to do what you do.  We are all suffering as a result.  His business certainly is.

Candidates, here's an issue on a silver platter.  Hold as many industries and individuals accountable as you can.  Set the example that this reckless behavior and irresponsibility cannot happen again.
