"Oh, what a feel-ing...oxygen tubing on the ceiling"
I've been to too many seniors' homes where their oxygen (O2) tubing is tangled up in miles and miles of clear-colored disarray all over the floor of house. I find myself worrying more about them tripping/falling over the tubing than I do about them getting the oxygen they need to breathe!
There are available products aimed to alleviate this conundrum that are handheld, but a handheld device does not help a person who needs both hands to maneuver a medical walker or the like. Also, many seniors don't have the extra strength needed to carry around a bulky handheld device.
I would love to see a super-duper O2-tubing port on either the wall or on the ceiling. This type of positioning gets the tubing up off the floor and allows the user hand-freedom. It would need to offer retracting abilities and be attractive, as well.
I'm not an engineer or a designer, so would love to hear your thoughts/suggestions/improvements on this idea. Thanks!
