PoTax
The idea is to create a voluntary global tax from which to provide the resources to feed the hungry, provide clean drinking water, basic medical care, and other essential needs of the desperately poor amongst us.
This PoTax fund would be overseen by dignitaries and statesmen of the world, including Bill Clinton, Herbert Walker Bush, Jimmy Carter, Tony Blair, Bono, Nelson Mandela, Desmond Tutu, Bill Gates etc.
The idea is to establish a non-profit with a prominent internet presence that will act as a vehicle for the collection of a voluntary tax on the people of the entire world. This would be a progressive tax with a reccommended amount of donation based on a provided chart.
It would give people who have the means and desire to be a part of a cause greater than themselves the opportunity to participate in a rather grandiose attempt to actually change the world.
The website would demonstrate the global needs, the productivity of such a fund, and allow people a vote in how a percentage of the money was to be used.
