I am blessed beyond measure. I have everything I ever wanted, and more in life. I have an incredible wife that I adore (I have no idea why she married a tool like me). I have the two girls I always dreamed of having (never wanted a boy). And I have incredible parents and a great brother who helped make me who I am today.In addition, I have a job that I love, and my own office (finally! No more stupid cubicles!)
This idea comes from the book The Necklace, written by Cheryl Jarvis. The book details the formation of a group of women who collectively buy a diamond necklace, set some rules and then share it. In the process they venture down paths of self-imrpovement and discovery as well as freindship. Shares is not as lofty. Shares is a collective system of purchasing, done through a web-site, and not specific to any gender or demographic group. In fact the lead of each share can specify as open or as restricted a group of potential buyers as he/she desires. Geography may play a role, and it may not. Shares is practical because it helps people experience certain material aspirations, and helpful because it can de-mystify them as well. Vendors may even consider Shares discounts. What do you think?
