What does Social Innovation mean to you? To those of us at IDEASTOX it has been about one thing from our very first day pursuing this site: bringing a diverse group of people together to make new things, and counting on their differences and interests to drive the success or failure of their own ideas. Social Innovation relies upon the society rather than the the establishment, fueling the participation of fellow citizens to improve and invent new products, services, movements, whatever drives the changes enough people seek.
But that's our definition, and now that we are officially in our 6 month of IDEASTOX, we want to hear from you: how do you define Social Innovation?
Later this month, IDEASTOX will present at the Social Networking conference in Miami (www.socialnetworkingconference.com) on this very subject. Your thoughts on Social Innovation may be included in our presentation, and credited to you. We'll post a video of it here on ths site so you can see for yourself. Just add your definitions to the comments field and note if you'd like to be credited in a way other than your member name. You can also send your thoughts to ideas@ideastox.com.
Yours in ideas...
The IDEASTOX Team
Skills: Business Development, Computer Programming, Graphic Design
The IDEASTOX Team is a scrappy, resourceful crew with diverse backgrounds and eclectic tastes. We're based all over: Los Angeles, Tucson, Austin, New York, Washington, Minneapolis, Virgina, Las Vegas, and more... but the one thing we all have in common: lots of ideas. Which is why, we think, so do you. If we're wrong, IDEASTOX won't work and we'll go back to our desks, scratching our heads, trying to figure out what to do with our days. But if it does work, we'll be overjoyed at knowing you can now have a louder voice in determining which ideas happen and our idea helped to get you there.
