I'm a forty-one year old, husband of fourteen years and father of two boys. I am an apprentice woodworker and volunteer firefighter and EMT.
I am researching the invention process and trying to move ahead with ideas. This idea stuff, if taken to its rightful end, is not for the faint of heart.
There is a beautiful reservoir maintained by the LA Department of Water and Power called the Stone Canyon Reservoir. It is large and there is currently a project underway to update the treatment of the reservoir water as it services a great deal of LA's water needs. The land around the reservoir is vast and the idea here is to convert some portion of that land into public trails. It would be ideal if a portion of the reservoir's water could be sectioned off for recreational use though this is probably unrealistic. Still, the land is vast and none of that particular area is accessible to the public.
I am an avid hiker who believes the more open spaces we have, the better off we are. With growing development, we need to preseve open spaces now, while making them available to use so long as that use is guided by preservation.
