Gourmet specialty in and out coffee cafe, comparable to Starbucks. For those of us who love coffee and are daily consumers, who need our fix but may have a disdain for the damage Starbucks can do on one's pockets, the long lines when we are on the go and dont want cheap gas station coffee. This is an alternative.
This is an in and out option for those on the go, or those picky drinkers who like their coffee made a certain way. Who get annoyed when the employee changes, then so does the taste of their drink. Who could live with cheaper prices for a cup of coffee or a latte.
My idea is to have a new form of coffee cafe for the dedicated drinker who desires to save money and time (all of us have had those times when we are on our way to a meeting or work and it takes a ridiculous amount of time to get in and out of starbucks in the morning). This idea will eliminate the need for extra baristas and long lines allowing for a reduction in the price of the items sold.
Here's the difference:
The cafe will have 2-3 service stations. Consumers will recieve a card, similar to a checkcard., credit card, etc There will be machines representing each fresh ingredient, i.e. coffee (frapps, decaf, organic, etc), milk (low fat, organic, soy, rice, etc), ice, flavors (hazelnut, chocolate, peppermint, etc.), espresso, etc. The machines will have preset measurements according to how much you desire. This way one can customize their own order the way they like it by using their card and simply punching in the amount (ex-double hazelnut). If one wants a brownie or juice, they can use their card with a customized vending machine that carries particular food and bottled items. Once the patron is finished with options, they proceed to a self checkout station similar to the ones in the supermarkets. They will insert their card (which keeps a record of all items) and it will give them a dollar amount total. They can either prepay their card, in which, it will simply deduct the amount used or pay at the self checkout. Along with their card, the restaurant will recommend blends, have blends of the week, etc., and each blend is gourmet, custom made by the company, not store bought cheap coffee.
This concept eliminates the need for additional baristas. One barista may be available to cash out, should the flow become staggered...just like the supermarkets do. I enjoy the efficiency of new ways of getting out of the supermarket, and the strategic flow of fast food restaurants.
The only thing a patron may need to do, is simply sip and stir...
