Talking Hybrid (Technology)
Talking Hybrid
There are a lot of articles being written about how hybrid cars are too quiet. Many people have been injured as a result of not being able to hear a hybrid car approaching. Blind people, who rely mainly on their hearing when getting around, have had difficulty with more and more hybrid cars coming onto the roads. My idea is to have hybrids, or any car that is determined to be too quiet, to have some sort of noise that says "hybrid approaching" as it brakes, or "hybrid departing" as it is accelerating. The other option would be for the car to make some sort of clicking noise like the sound some cross walks make. The "noise" would be in a low enough tone so that the driver would not hear it.
