My car is always a mess...and CARBAGE isn't enough. It's not that I carry so much garbage (I do), it's that I carry so much, on a daily basis. True, I port kids around and their equipment. I have laundry, an old Bose that needs to be repaired, my friend's DVR, a wetsuit (it has to lie flat), plenty of eco-friendly bags so I STOP DOUBLE-BAGGING, some mail, some tissues, some snacks, some sweathshirts... We like to call my car - a station-wagon - The Hotel. And cleaning The Hotel has to happen on a daily basis, otherwise it really is unbearable. Today when we arrived home from soccer I announced to the kids that I was ready for an invention which would enable my car to pack itself up, into one manageable package, which I could then carry into our home (which is an apartment far from the parking garage). The kids laughed like I was Bill Cosby...so I reiterated my desire for the car to pack itself up. I wonder, if I let everyone edit this idea...can you help come up with a device which comes close to fulfilling this objective? Think, trunk organizer turned portable luggage? Go for it...especially if you can relate.
