UsedPhone.com is a marketplace for used phones. Its structured as a free classified ad marketplace, like Craigslist, except that it only list ads for phones. Anyone can place a free ad to sell or buy a phone, and they can choose to deal only in their local area, if that's what they want. And, companies in the used phone business can place ads, although they pay to place more than one ad. The ads are monitored, and fraudulent ads such as those listing cheap phones sent from Nigeria are deleted.
UsedPhone.com has one goal: To provide an efficient marketplace where users can quickly dispose of their old phone, or find the one they need to buy. UsedPhone.com is different from other sites, because it doesn't charge for listing like ebay, and only deals in phones, so users don't get distracted by other things, like Craiglist. It also list places where users can donate and recycle old phones that aren't valuable to sell.
The market for used phones is growing in importance, as phones become smarter and more expensive, and are essentially becoming small, wireless computers that you can make calls on. Revenue comes from advertising.
