I am a 30-year-old woman who works in the corporate world, but I just can't shake my love for fashion. For years, I worked as a make-up artist and I was able to satisfy my creative tendencies every time I went to work. Although I enjoy my job as a communications consultant, I am really looking for a way to combine my artist's soul with my entrepreneurial mind to start a business that offer practical fashion to women like me.
This idea came to me when I was getting dressed to go out one day. I put on a very cute black strapless cotton dress - a-line, slightly above the knee perfect day or night dress. I wanted to wear my every day bag (a black Botkier satchel with a front flap closure and two front pockets) for two reasons - changing out bags is a pain, and I totally love that bag. As I was looking at it next the outfit, I thought "It would be so great to be able to just add something to this bag that gives it a splash of color or a little bit of a different look."
That's when mbp was born.
