Background:
As David Brent and I were re-writing his idea on web privacy policies I realized, with the help of another IDEASTOX member Mark Gerard, credited below, that Wiki-Ideas is a great place for common people like me and you to draft legislation.

Idea:
Use IDEASTOX to write bills. While we would ultimately need members with some expertise in the subject to help, members can contribute to early drafts and produce documents outlinoing a collective point of view on matters of policy.

The Government Sponsored Green Employment Act of 2009
This is an economic stimulus plan and an environmental strategy.

The Tax Reporting Act of 2009
This legislation would call for transparency in the the allocation of taxpayer dollars through an interactive reporting system accessible via the Internet. This bill would enable taxpayers to view the distribution of their specific tax dollars and view reports on the use of the dollars and the productivity that followed. This system would open doors to our government and and allow people a view of the system they never get, ideally encouraging less antipathy towards taxation and more understanding of accountability and application.
